Read Luke 2:36-40
Sponsor a family in the hospital on Christmas day. Call your local hospital, and ask to talk to the discharge planner or the nursing supervisor. Tell them your family would like to sponsor a family that has a member who will be in the hospital on Christmas day (and you will do so without violating privacy laws). Find out how many parents and children are in the family, and purchase gifts for each family member. Deliver the gifts on Christmas day. Contributed by Ann A., Blacksburg, VA
Christmas Style Terrarium. In a small empty fish tank, carefully place small clean stones along the bottom. Add potting soil to about 1/3 full. Get advice from a local nursery as to small plants to place in the soil. Place miniature festive decorations on the plants. Use cotton wisps to simulate snow on the ground. Add a miniature snowman. Cover terrarium with plastic wrap to keep in moisture.
(Supplies: small empty fish tank or large bowl-shaped vase from a thrift store, several small stones from the driveway, potting soil, garden gloves, cotton wisps, Christmas figurines or ornaments, plants)
